Bob’s Ground-Level Treasure Hunt

Go outside with a grown-up and look for the kinds of places Bob might like. Search for leaf piles, shady shrubs, soft soil, fallen berries, mushrooms, and low hiding spots. Draw a simple map of one corner of the yard from Bob’s point of view. Add: one shady hiding place, one food spot, one damp place after rain, and one danger Bob should avoid. Think About It: If you were only a few inches tall, what parts of a yard would feel huge or scary? Grandma’s reminder: “Bob is not lazy because he moves slow. He is just thorough, and frankly that leaf pile deserves a proper inspection.”
